Update: Supply Chain

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your continued support during these unprecedented times. As the world navigates the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a significant disruption to the global movement of supplies and goods for many industries, and ours is no exception. I am writing you today to better inform you of the situation and what Staples Professional is doing to ensure continued support that meets the needs of your business.

Consumers and businesses alike are finding it challenging to get the products they want or need.  Worldwide factory shutdowns, port congestions, labour shortages, commodity price increases, fuel price increases coupled with high demand have created an imbalance. In turn, this has resulted in industry-wide supply constraints, longer lead times, and higher overall product prices. Shortages in technology, ink and toner, furniture, paper, and general office supplies are of particular concern.

Despite these challenges, our goal at Staples Professional continues to be to provide you with the products you need as quickly as possible. To that end, our Merchant team is in contact daily with our key suppliers to ensure everything is being done to provide you with the products needed to drive your business. While you are shopping on eway.ca, there are many features to help you make informed buying decisions including product substitutes (e.g. many next-day eligible paper alternatives), expected availability dates for constrained items and our message board for the latest on supply chain updates. Lastly, the 'Get it Fast' filter allows you to search based on in-stock availability.

For many of our customers who will be welcoming employees back to the office over the coming months, we recognize the need to stock up on the supplies that keep their workforces productive and safe is paramount. We'd love to hear from you—please reach out to your account representative so that we can build out the right plans and alternatives that will make this transition simple and seamless.

At Staples Professional we pride ourselves on our relationships and service levels and want to assure you, our valued customer, that we are doing everything possible to continue to provide you with unparalleled products and solutions no matter the circumstance.
