During the pandemic Staples Business Advantage Canada continues to be operating in a business as usual capacity and able to meet our customer’s needs. With many Provinces announcing lockdown procedures, we know businesses needs are continuously changing. As an essential business we are open with our teams working from home alongside our warehouses and delivery services continuing in person with adapted processes.

We continue to offer fast, free delivery nationwide to your home or office with next day options for the majority of Canada. Our delivery team are providing contactless delivery with additional safety procedures in place including no requirement for signatures. It is our priority to support our associates, customers and the business community safely, particularly in these uncertain times.

Staples Business Advantage Canada remains committed to informing and serving our customers, by providing several shopping options (including online at eway.ca) and solutions for the products and services you need. To meet your needs, call your sales representative and they will be happy to help. Please note however, our sales offices nationally will be closed for the Holidays December 24th, 2020 at 2 pm through to January 1st, 2021. We will resume regular office hours on January 4th, 2021.

Our Customer Care Centre and Deliveries will remain open over the holidays with exceptions. During this time, you can contact our Customer Care teams to support any additional requirements with placing an order.

Dear Staples Business Advantage Customers,

As adapting to COVID-19 becomes our new normal, Staples Business Advantage Canada continues to take numerous precautions to keep our associates and customers safe. As many businesses are re-opening across the country, we want to provide you with a further update on the precautions we are taking to keep our associates and our customers safe.

In line with Health Canada’s guidance, we are now requiring our associates including those in our Fulfillment Centres, Delivery Operations and Furniture Operations to wear face coverings when at work in open, common areas and when in close proximity (less than 2m) of others. We have also introduced a daily assessment screening requirement for associates working in our buildings. These screenings will identify any associates who show signs of risk so we can ensure they do not enter our buildings.

Our delivery drivers continue to take precautionary measures at all points in the delivery process, continuing to have gloves and hand sanitizer available in their trucks, complete contactless delivery without requiring signatures for deliveries and observe physically distancing throughout the delivery process. This means, in cases where contactless deliveries are not possible, our drivers will be wearing masks and taking appropriate sanitizing precautions.

We appreciate you trusting us to deliver to your business and home offices in a safe manner. We recognize that you will have implemented precautions in your buildings as well, and our team will endeavor to support your precautions.

Dear Valued Staples Business Advantage Customer,

During this unprecedented time, we are continuously monitoring the latest news and guidelines from the Health Canada as well as local, provincial and federal officials. As an essential provider of products and services such as janitorial, personal protective equipment and business equipment to customers including hospitals, healthcare, governments and first responders, I wanted to provide you with an update about the measures Staples Business Advantage is taking to keep employees and customers safe.

Our office employees have been enabled to work from home and our Fulfillment Centre associates are taking extra precautions for their safety as recommended by Health Canada.

Delivery orders

Our drivers are also taking extra precautionary measures at all points in the delivery process, and we’re making every effort to get you the supplies you need, when you need them, by:

  • Providing free delivery on all orders and no minimum order size requirement (excluding remote locations, product handling fees, and furniture delivery/installation). Larger bundled orders help us deliver value and reliable service and are also better for the environment, so please continue to consolidate orders where possible so we can continue to meet the needs of the maximum number of customers.
  • Establishing new safety measures for our drivers, including providing them with sanitizer, temporarily suspending unique or special delivery requirements, and no longer requiring customers to sign for deliveries.
  • Prioritizing the needs of our customers who are on the front lines combatting the spread of COVID-19 for products that are essential, like hand sanitizer, masks, gloves, and disinfectants. These customers include hospitals, first responders and long-term care facilities.
  • Complying with all customer requests to change normal delivery routines and drop-off locations. Allowing many customers to update their delivery addresses during their online checkout experience on eway.ca.
  • Urgently working with our suppliers to replenish our inventory and actively refreshing our sites so these products can be made available to all.

Pricing update

I want to assure you it is Staples’ policy not to raise prices on essential needs during health crises. We’re committed to keeping our prices where they were before this global pandemic and are partnering with our suppliers to provide you with the best prices possible.

We will continue to be here for you in every way we can and reassess protocols and policies as needed. Our biggest thanks to all our Staples Business Advantage team members making it possible to support our communities and all our valued customers.

Dear Staples Business Advantage Customers,

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Staples Business Advantage has seen unprecedented demand for many products, especially hand sanitizer, masks, gloves, disinfectants as well as other pandemic supplies.

We are working diligently with our suppliers to replenish this inventory, but our fulfillment timeframe has temporarily become unreasonable. Therefore, we have made the decision to first serve our customers who are on the front lines combatting the spread of COVID-19, like hospitals, first responders, and long-term care facilities.

We recognize the needs of all our customers are important and we apologize that are not able to meet your needs at this time. We’ve made this decision to prioritize our health care customers for the greater good of our communities and we ask for your understanding.

When we return to a stable inventory position, we will refresh our sites and products will be made available to all.

The rapidly evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is unsettling, changing daily life and the operations of many businesses, schools and workplaces. There is a great deal of uncertainty and we would like you to know that the health and well-being of our customers and associates is what matters most at Staples Business Advantage Canada.

Since the risk associated with the Coronavirus emerged, we have taken action consistent with guidance from Health Canada, as well as provincial and local authorities. We have reinforced hygiene protocols, restricted business travel for our associates and restricted non-essential visitors to our offices and facility locations. We've also taken numerous precautions to keep our associates and customers safe, including increased cleaning at every location and providing additional sanitizing products for our drivers. We are also complying with any and all customer requests to change normal delivery routines, such as leaving deliveries on hospital docks instead of inside floor deliveries.

It is our priority to support our associates, customers and business community, particularly healthcare and essential services in these uncertain times. Staples Business Advantage Canada remains committed to serving our customers online at eway.ca, providing several shopping options and solutions for the products and business services you may need.

As of today, we will provide temporary free delivery on all orders and no minimum order size requirement (excluding remote locations, product handling fees, and furniture delivery/installation). This will give you and your colleagues the ability to get the products you need, when and where you need them. It goes without saying that larger bundled orders help us deliver value and reliable service and are also better for the environment. So please continue to consolidate orders where possible, as we strive to meet the needs of the maximum number of customers.

We are proactively managing our supply of products to ensure we continue to have what you need. As one would expect, we are experiencing some in-stock limitations for certain in-demand products, such as wipes, disinfectant and hand sanitizer, and are working hard to replenish those items. At this time, we are prioritizing the distribution of constrained pandemic supplies to ensure that essential services such as Healthcare, Police and Fire are serviced first. Additionally, we are working on increasing supply of items, such as home office technology.
