Staples Business Advantage™ strives to provide the best possible products and services to our customers. It is to be noted Staples Business Advantage Canada is our trade name and Corporate Express Canada, Inc. continues to be our legal entity name. Any legal documents or invoices sent to customers will bear the legal name Corporate Express Canada, Inc. Payments can be made payable to Staples Business Advantage or Corporate Express Canada, Inc.
Prices shown in this catalogue are effective as of its printing date. Prices appear solely as a guide and are subject to change. Staples Business Advantage reserves the right to adjust prices in response to market conditions inclusive of Canadian currency, tariff and industry-wide cost fluctuations. Price sensitive products always have current pricing on your eway.ca account. Staples Business Advantage reserves the right to update prices and product specifications at any time without notice including those that may be part of membership-based pricing programs. These membership programs will renew automatically to ensure your savings opportunities unless otherwise requested in writing. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee for services outside our standard business model. Products may be discontinued without notice and we reserve the right to replace the product with a comparable substitution of equal or greater value. We do our best to ensure accuracy, however errors may occur and we regret any inconvenience that errors may cause. All prices quoted exclude applicable taxes and Waste Diversion Rates and Levies. A Waste Diversion Rate could include Electronic Handling, Bottle Deposit, Environmental, Lighting, Small/Large Appliance, Battery Fee or other Recycling programs. These fees are collected and submitted to their waste diversion association. An inventory of the waste diversion programs by region are available on the Environment Canada web site.
Standard orders within our Local Delivery Area and meeting our minimum order requirements are eligible for free delivery. To support environmental sustainability, the Seller encourages the Buyer to use commercially reasonable efforts to aggregate small orders to reach the minimum order amount. This is to minimize environmental impacts related to shipping. For each order under the minimum, the Seller will charge the Buyer a “Small Order Charge”. The minimum order requirements are before taxes, and after discounts, price matching, any other promotions or price concessions. There may be additional charges as they relate to delivery: including rush or expedited shipments, desktop, white glove delivery or special delivery requirements, or service outside our local delivery areas. There may be additional product related charges for: heavy, or oversized items, products requiring special or excessive handling, select, non-stocked or special ordered products. Any additional charges will be noted on the Seller’s E-Commerce website at the time of checkout. Some items may not be available for delivery outside the Seller’s Local Delivery Area.
Orders placed and approved by 4:00 pm local time Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) are processed the same day. We ask that you place your order as early in the day as possible to facilitate next business-day delivery of in-stock products. Orders for out-of-stock products will be held open and delivered upon availability. Buyer’s authorized representative(s) in each location will be required to sign written or electronic documents or devices provided by Supplier at the time of delivery of products. Title and risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery to the customer or customer’s agent. Furniture Assembly, Delivery, and Installation Additional charges will apply for furniture related services, such as assembly, freight, delivery, and installation. Charges for such services will depend on type/size of order, and/or geographic location. Areas must be cleared of existing furniture for assembly and/or installation to commence, unless otherwise arranged with Staples Business Advantage. For contract furnishing and projects, delivery, freight, and installation are extra. Furniture products ordered from extended delivery programs and special orders are not returnable. Insulated/Fireproof Files and Safes Due to the weight of such products, special handling, delivery, freight, and installation charges may apply. Unique charges may also apply if special resources and/or equipment are required to complete delivery and/or installation. Please contact your Account Manager for more details.
C.O.D. Orders Customers who have not established an account must use a credit card when placing orders. Staples Business Advantage delivery drivers, for their personal safety, are not authorized to accept payment, and therefore C.O.D. orders are not accepted.
General Terms
We will accept returns of a product in saleable condition, within the applicable return period, with its complete and original manufacturer’s packaging intact and undamaged, including Universal Product Code (UPC), manuals and parts where applicable, and a copy of the packing slip. Credit will only be issued when the item has been returned to us. Pick-up charges may apply if outside our local delivery areas. All credit claims for damaged products, sales errors and short shipments should be requested immediately after receiving and verifying your order and no later than 10 business days from invoice date. All requests for proof of delivery must be received within 60 days of the invoice date.
Office Supplies Office supplies can be returned within 30 days of receipt.
Software Unopened Software can be returned within 30 days of receipt. Only defective software may be exchanged for the same title and version within 30 calendar days of receiving the software.
Technology and Business Machines Technology and Business Machines can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of receipt. For defective products after 14 days, contact the manufacturer directly. Staples Business Advantage will provide manufacturer contact information should it be required. Customer can also refer to Manufacturer’s Directory in the sourcebook.
Hazardous and Oversized Materials Partial cartons or opened Containers of hazardous materials cannot be returned. It is your responsibility to ensure the products are used and/or disposed of in accordance with all applicable local, provincial, federal laws and environmental rules and regulations.
Non-Catalogue, Seasonal, Special Order Products and Proprietary Items Non-catalogue, seasonal, special order products and proprietary items are non-returnable and non-cancellable other than those that are defective or our error. Orders that have not been shipped may only be cancelled subject to approval.
Food, Beverage, and First Aid Products For health and safety reasons, we do not accept returns on these products, unless defective or our error.
Janitorial and Sanitation Products For health and safety reasons, these products can be returned only if the packaging is unopened and unaltered. Open containers of hazardous products (defective or damaged) cannot be returned. For the safety of our drivers, spilled liquid, broken glass, or damaged hazardous materials will not be picked up. A credit or replacement will be issued.
Furniture Furniture can be returned within 14 days of receipt upon approval. “Stocked” inventory products may be returned with the customer paying a restocking fee of up to 25% of the purchase price, exclusive of freight and delivery. The returned product(s) must be in new condition and returned in their original carton. Freight/delivery charges may apply for furniture returns. Customized furniture or specially sourced furniture is non-returnable.
Defective Products and Limited Warranty All products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects and are covered by each manufacturer's guarantee. Defective products other than Technology can be exchanged within 30 days of receipt. In the unlikely event you receive defective Staples Brand products, you may return these products at any time for a full refund or replacement. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.
